Opel Easytronic and Ford Durashift EST are automated manual transmissions. They use a conventional manual gearbox, but the clutch and gear selection are operated by electronic controls and actuators. A fault does not always mean the complete unit needs replacing.

When to contact us

• The letter F or a transmission warning appears on the dashboard.
• The car will not engage a gear, will not move off or unexpectedly selects neutral.
• Gear selection is delayed or intermittent.
• Diagnostic faults concern clutch control, gear selection or communication with the module.

What we check and repair

We inspect the transmission control electronics, power supply, wiring, communication, clutch actuator and gear-selection actuators. If a fault is confirmed, we assess which electronic or electromechanical components can be repaired. We agree on the work and any necessary setup first. Clutch wear and internal gearbox faults are assessed separately.

If the vehicle comes to our workshop

We carry out the removal and reinstallation work needed for the affected unit. Where the repair opens a fluid circuit, we replace the fluid in the relevant part of the system: mechanical gearbox oil and/or clutch hydraulic fluid, depending on the transmission design. After reassembly, we perform any required bleeding, setup and adaptation procedures and check operation.

If the unit is already removed

You can bring the control unit or actuator to us or send it by courier after arranging it in advance. Please provide a label photo, vehicle model and year, VIN and a diagnostic report if available. Additional setup may be required after fitting the unit to the vehicle.
